Century GB Range

The German made Century GB Series is suitable for high energy applications and belongs to the best EUROBAT classification for maintenance free lead-acid batteries. Complying to DIN 40742 Standard, the battery utilizes tubular positive plates and gelled electrolyte (OPzV).

Technical Features

Valve Regulated Design

The batteries are equipped with a safe low pressure venting system which releases excess gas and automatically reseals should there be a build-up of pressure within the battery. Note: battery should be charged in an appropriately vented enclosure.

Low Maintenance Operation

Due to the perfectly sealed construction and the recombination of gases within the cell, the battery is almost maintenance free and there is no need to top up with water.

Service Life

With a service life of 20 years in stand-by operation at 20°C, the GB Series is reliable for long duration applications.

Sealed Construction

The Century GB series has unique construction and sealing technique ensuring no electrolyte leakage from case or terminals.

Mounting Orientation

The Century GB Series is installed in the vertical orientation with no loss of performance or concern of electrolyte leakage. (Horizontal orientation on request).

Flame Retardant

The standard Century GB battery containers and lids are made to UL94-HB but optional flame retardant plastic materials (UL94-V0) are available.

Long Shelf Life

The extremely low self-discharge rate allows the battery to be stored for extended periods up to one year at normal ambient temperatures.

Recyclable Materials used in Battery

All Century lead acid batteries can be recycled through the world class Century Yuasa Batteries recycling program. Our network of more than 1,100 Battery Recycling Centres makes it easy for businesses and individuals to recycle their old batteries free of charge and help us play our part in protecting our precious environment.
