The Yuasa EN series of sealed Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) batteries use an advanced gas recombination technology and advanced sealed construction to provide ten years design life. The Yuasa EN series requires minimal maintenance and there is no need for electrolyte top-up.
Applications
Yuasa EN batteries can be used in either
floating or cyclic applications.
Floating Applications include:
Cyclic Applications include:
The batteries are equipped with a safe low pressure venting system which releases excess gas and automatically reseals should there be a build up of gas within the battery. Note battery should be charged in an appropriately vented enclosure.
Due to the perfectly sealed construction and the recombination of gases within the cell, the battery is almost maintenance free and there is no need to top up with water.
The heavy duty lead calcium tin alloy grids provide excellent resistance against corrosion. The expected service life is ten years in float standby applications and four in cyclic applications.
Yuasa’s unique construction and sealing technique ensures no electrolyte leakage from case or terminals.
All EN batteries utilise Yuasa’s electrolyte suspension system incorporating a microfibre glass mat separator that evenly distributes the electrolytes onto plate surfaces. The electrolyte is retained in the separator material meaning there is no free electrolyte within the battery.
The combination of sealed construction and Yuasa’s unique electrolyte
suspension system allows operation in any orientation, with no loss of
performance or concern of electrolyte leakage (Excluding continuous
use in an inverted position)
EN battery containers and lids are made from flame retardant plastic
materials (Oxygen Index 30)
EN Batteries have been specifically designed so as to allow parallel
networks of different capacities to be used within a common system.
This greatly extends the selection of capacities that can be achieved.
The extremely low self discharge rate allows the battery to be stored for extended periods up to one year at normal ambient temperatures.
All Yuasa lead acid batteries can be recycled
